National Youth Production 2022

Evita In Concert

With much excitement, Irish Youth Musical Theatre joins forces with the National Symphony Orchestra this summer, to bring Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s 'Evita' to stage in an epic concert performance, in the National Concert Hall.

Starring our island’s finest young talent (aged 14 to 24 years), our selected national youth cast will get the opportunity to work intensively with West End creatives - led by John Rigby (conductor) and Séimí Campbell (director) - in a two weeks rehearsal block from Monday 20th June in Dublin, before the concert performance in the National Concert Hall on Friday 1st July, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.

Almost thirty years on from her West End success in the title role, and with special arrangement from Really Useful Group, ‘First Lady of Irish Musical Theatre’, Rebecca Storm, joins the cast to share the role of Eva Peron.

Applications are now open to all young actors aged 14 to 24 years, from both the ROI and NI. First round auditions are online, through uploading a self tape in the form below. We ask that auditionees:

- record and upload a video of themselves singing any song from Musical Theatre repertoire, which best showcases both their acting and vocal ability.

- complete an online application form, stating any previous experience or training.

* Please note there is no dance audition at this point, but please state any relevant choreography experience or dance training (if any) for next rounds.

Tuition fees for our Summer Programme 2022:

Selected principal cast (leading roles with featured ensemble):

€275 for intensive training from Monday 20th June.

Selected chorus: €150 for vocal training from Saturday 25th June.

Irish Youth Musical Theatre and the National Symphony Orchestra look forward to finding our inaugural National Youth Cast, as we showcase the next generation of Irish Musical Theatre this summer at the National Concert Hall.
